Happy Easter

Easter comes from the word east. East is the direction of sunrise. The root of the word east is aus (to shine). Shine means brilliant light, to emit light.

(Matthew 24:27) "For as the lightening comes out of the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of man be."

Note: flash means a sudden burst of flame or light

(Ezekiel 43:2) "And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east; and his voice was like a noise of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory"

(Isaiah 49:13-16)

"Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains; for the Lord has comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted."

"But Zion said; The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me"

"Can a woman forget her suckling child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?" yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee"

"Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me"
